Three years ago, my daughter got married at The Cotton Loft, and it remains one of the most beautiful and memorable days of our lives. This venue is truly exceptional—a much higher-end experience than a typical wedding spot, and it’s easy to see why it stands out. Housed in a restored historic Cotton Depot in the heart of Clinton, South Carolina, The Cotton Loft offers an incredible 11,000+ square feet of versatile space with soaring 11-foot ceilings, exposed beams, arched windows, wide-planked wooden floors, and stunning exposed brick walls. What I especially loved was how the huge space never felt overwhelming. It includes several distinct areas that can be beautifully sectioned off, creating intimate and elegant zones perfect for different parts of the celebration. The massive chandeliers add such a romantic, luxurious glow, and the fabulous decorations throughout made everything feel polished and special. The outdoor spaces—like the large patio, intimate gazebo, and vibrant landscaping—provided wonderful options too. Every detail shows the thoughtful restoration that preserved the building’s character while creating a perfect canvas for events. What truly sets The Cotton Loft apart is the food and personal touch from owner Star Chappell. As a professional chef and owner of the beloved Cabana Café in Newberry, Star prepares much of the food herself, and it is absolutely phenomenal. The quality is restaurant-level outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and far beyond standard venue catering. She and her team made us feel like family, handling everything with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. From the bridal party rooms to the chapel and main event areas, everything flowed seamlessly. It’s a full-service venue where you can truly relax and enjoy the day, knowing every detail is in expert hands. If you’re looking for a beautiful, spacious, customizable, and high-quality venue in South Carolina, I can’t recommend The Cotton Loft enough. It created memories we’ll treasure forever. We had the pleasure of attending the Derby event at this venue, and it was nothing short of incredible. The entire space was transformed into such a fun and vibrant atmosphere—elegant with just the right touch of Southern charm. From the décor to the music, every detail captured the spirit of the Derby perfectly. The staff did an amazing job keeping everything organized and flowing smoothly, even with a full crowd. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the signature cocktails were definitely a highlight! It felt like such a unique experience, and you could tell a lot of thought went into making the event special for everyone attending. Between the lively energy, beautiful setting, and top-tier service, it was an evening to remember. Also love supporting a good cause! We’re already looking forward to coming back for future events!

This is my girlfriends first time at a big event by Scar Chappell. What a great one to introduce her to the Cotton Loft. The Kentucky Derby fundraiser for Catopia was phenomenal. Laid back and classy at the same time. The food-amazing!! Yes. Amazing!! The venue is easy to find, good parking, helpful staff. This evening is One for the Roses.
